Bollywood Movies Shooting and Promotion in Delhi Metro

Ever since the launch of Delhi Metro, it has become one of the most hot and sought-after venue for shooting as well as promotional events of Bollywood movies. Delhi Metro has already seen many visits by Bollywood celebrities either for promotions of their movies or for shooting. Even the Airport Express line has been used for promotions of many movies for example, SRK’s Ra.One, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s Don 2, Emraan Hashmi’s Dirty Picture etc. The movies which have been shot in Delhi Metro are Paa, Bewafa, Delhi 6, Love Aaj Kal etc.

Bollywood Movies Shot on Delhi Metro

Below listed Bollywood movies have been shot either inside Delhi Metro or at any of the stations of Delhi Metro.

Jannat 2 (Airport Express Line)

Emraan Hashmi- starrer Jannat 2 is the first Bollywood movie to be shot in the Airport Express line in 2011.

Saif Ali Khan Starrer Love Aaj Kal (2008)

Imtiaz Ali’s and Saif Ali Khan starrer ” Love Aaj Kal” was shot here in the year 2008. The year 2008 had been the busiest for Delhi Metro in terms of being a venue for shooting of many Bollywood movies apart from Love Aaj Kal.

Vivek-Mallika’s KLPD (2012)

Amit Chandrra’s and Vivek Mallika Sherawat starrer Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli (KLPD) is one of the recent Bollywood movies being shot on Delhi Metro.

Apart from Delhi Metro, KLPD has been shot at many other locations of Delhi like the Buddha Garden, Qutub Minar, and Saket highlighting the essence of the city. With the shoot taking place at night, Vivek, Mallika and the whole unit has been seen battling the cold dipping temperatures, while shooting on the streets of Delhi.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa (2009)

One of the song sequence of Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa movie was shot on Delhi Metro in the year 2009.

Bewafaa (First Ever Bollywood Movies Shot on Delhi Metro in 2003)

Bewafaa released in 2005 was the first ever movie shot on Delhi Metro in the year 2003. Bewafaa casts are anil kapoor,akshay kumar,kareena kapoor,sushmita sen,manoj bajpai,shamita shetty,kabir bedi.
