Madame Tussaud’s has made and exhibited hundreds of wax statues of celebrities from the world over in its history of more than 200 years. Madame Tussauds has wax statues of mostly A-list celebrities which include sports stars, political leaders, film stars and historical icons.
World popularity of Bollywood has caught the attention of Madame Tussauds authority and there are many Bollywood celebrities who got the honor to be immortalized by the Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum at London and also in Times Square, New York. Amitabh Bachchhan is the first Bollywood star who got the honor of joining other 400+ wax statues at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in London.
Katrina Kaif has become the most recent Bollywood star getting a wax statue at Madama Tussauds. Katrina Kaif unveiled her wax statue on 28th March 2015 and said, “”This is amazing it does look really like me.”
Katrina Kaif was chosen after a contested poll conducted by Madame Tussauds last year and she won beating her close competitor from Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.
Katrina’s wax statue was created by a big team comprising of 20 sculptors and artists who created it after taking 500 precise body measurements. . It took full four months to create and it costed around 150,000 Pounds.
Madhuri Dixit’s wax statue will be unveiled on 7th of March 2012 by Madhuri herself in London. Madhuri is the latest entry from Bollywood stars list.
