Famous Bollywood Film director, writer and producer Raj Kanwar has passed away. Some of his famous films have been Deewana, Laadla and Judaai. He died today (3 Feb 2012) after undergoing a kidney transplant in Singapore. Raj Kanwar has been a diabetes patient and has been admitted to hospital on earlier occasions as well. He was the director as well as a writer. As a director he directed movies like Deewana, Judaai, Laadla, Daag – The fire, Jeet, Badal, Faraz. And as a writer, he has written Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Andaaz, Itihaas, Daag – The Fire, Jeet etc. He has been a producer to a lot of these movies as well. Raj Kanwar has reportedly launched famous bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in Andaaz for the first time. He happened to be the first director for Priyanka as well as Shah Rukh Khan. Both of them are incidently to be the first ones to react to this sad news.

As soon as the news about Raj Kanwar’s death broke out, whole of bollywood stars have been sending and tweeting condolescence messages. Priyanka Chopra tweeted;

Shah Rukh Khan who has acted in his film Deewan has tweeted;
