Kat’s kitty is full of film these days. From a traffic-stopping glam avatar to innocent-girl act, she is taking up all. It’s not only the interesting scripts that are coming her way and her movies storming the box-office but she is also getting to share the screen-space with the Khans. The lucky mascot of Bollywood is busy doing the action-oriented movie Dhoom 3 where she has Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan as her co-star. But this time she is neither in a super-glam girl portrayal nor in a romantic role to add to her hit rosters. Rather, she is seen in an absolutely new-fangled role. The beauty queen is turning into an ‘action queen’ with her latest action-entertainer. Now action sequences by a breath-taking beauty is sure to give us some adrenalin rush.

But the action-packed act in Dhoom 3 comes at its own cost to the lady. She has to keep herself aloof of all designer outfits, pretty gowns and attractive make-up and why not? After all, the entire movie is all about fists and fights and not the arm candy babe wooing her hero. She is enjoying the powerful role and the stints that the action movie has to offer. She is offered a meaty part which she is performing with aplomb. Her fans around the world will love to see the dainty beauty turning into a roaring actress. No doubt she is the best and the beauty with brains and her confident act and daring sequences will add to her conviction.

The trend of turning into a stunt-woman is not something new that we are viewing. It was initiated in 1935 by brave ‘n’ bold Nadia alias “Hunterwali”. Another yesteryear actress that has left an impact on us with her man-ly avatar is Rekha. Her sword-wielding acts in “Phool Bane Angaray”and “Khoon Bhari Maang” has left a lasting impression on her fans. Bollywood beauties turning to action ladies are not very new in tinsel town. Southern sirens Hema Malini and Sridevi have also taken to the off-beat characters in their films. Seema Biswas in Bandit Queen is another of a memorable heroine in a jagged role. Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra are also the pretty ones of the squad who have shown their action abilities. While porcelain beauty Aishwarya zoomed it off in Dhoom 2, Priyanka Chopra wooed the audiences with her karate skills and some death-defying skills in Don.
