Sweet, simple and desi Sonakshi

We all know the most important rule in Bollywood and that’s the uber-hot and glam factor. And we also know how opposite is Sonakshi Sinha at following that. She played a village girl in ‘Dabangg’ and yet another Indian belle avatar in her next ‘Rowdy Rathore’. So, analysing the current dare-to-bare trends in tinsel town, how do we place Sonakshi in run-of-the-mill success route? As dull and uninspiring it may sound and look to few, but a sari can actually look glamorous! That is if worn the way starlet Sonakshi does.

So, is she having tough time portraying a desi image where she has to be limited as far as her skills eh clothes are concerned? Is Box-office treating the girl fairly or is she signalled to follow the rat race of be-glam-and-famous?

Sonakshi seems to be quite cool and confident with her on-screen avatars. Perhaps, she is one girl who is not trapped or sandwiched between her Indian values and desire to reach the top. Rather, she lands at a speck where she is sharing the same roof of success like co-stars yet imbibing and holding her morals, believes and principles. The quintessential girl is making her country, fans and her parents proud by staying on to ‘desi’. In the world of fascination, fashion and hot quotient, where her contemporaries are seen clad in bikini and doing intimate scenes, only clean roles fit for her. The bold belle has found her own niche and track amidst the bunch of fellow actresses.

Her fans prefer her saris, traditional look and village-innocence and Sona is just keen to go on with the same style statement. It’s not that she is barring herself from doing glam roles but desi roles are what’re in at the moment. Even if downtown and city-girl roles come her way, those have to be toned and be presented in a proper manner. She will draw a line wherever required though not compromising on the essence of the script and character portrayal. She is okay doing the western roles however she doesn’t seem to be in a rush.

Desi Sonakshi’s Upcoming Flicks – Joker and Lootera

Even her upcoming flicks ‘Joker’ and ‘Lootera’ will see her sporting a desi look. The sequel to ‘Dabangg’ named as ‘Dabangg 2’ is also featuring Sonakshi with her sari-clad image. We wonder she is very much into her comfort zone and loves what she is doing currently. Though movies like Race 2 will see a different and westernized Sonakshi, the roles that she has done are closer to her heart. We have to wait and watch to see if she can pull her image-makeover roles with same grace and elegance.
