The Hottest Hollywood Split, Tom Cruise – Katie Holmes

The hottest lead actor of Hollywood is on top of the latest Forbes’ list too, for being the highest paid actor among 100 others. However he is speculating about his box office performances for his latest movie Mission Impossible due to his inexorable divorce from Katie Holmes. As Katie prefers to put it the divorce is filed for “irreconcilable differences”, saddening Tom.

The most bankable actor who turned 50 recently literally begged Katie to be present at the celebrations. This was perhaps his last attempt to reconcile, revealed gossip mills. The couple tied the knots in 2006, and they have a daughter – Suri Cruise for whom Holmes is seeking sole custody after divorce. On Katie’s refusal to join the bash, Tom reportedly flew back to California – his home to spend his birthday. There are no confirmed reports yet about the location from where the actor will file his divorce and whether at all he will seek custody for their daughter Suri.

That is Tom’s way of doing things as was reaffirmed by his lawyer – to do things secretly. The Top Guns star has made approximately 50 million pounds in the year that passed by and has his Hollywood Production Company. He agreed to give Katie a yearly sum in his pre nuptials agreement in 2006.

Katie is reportedly feeling insecure about her and Suri’s safety. There are also rumors that Cruise has hired men to keep a note about the whereabouts of mother – daughter since a week before the divorce was filed.

Family and friends have an altogether different story to tell. According to them Suri was treated like a ‘little adult’ by Tom, disregarding all due respect to her wishes to be herself. This was a cause of a major clash between the couple which led to Katie decide to file the divorce from New York, where from she thought, she stands a better choice of custody. According to reputed sources the east coast states does not appreciate granting joint custody to parents divided over a feud. However there are other sources that say that the actor might bring upon the case to his home country California where joint custody finds a fitting favor.

The divorce allegedly left the Tom blindsided, but Katie knew since a long time that it was coming and she saw the doom looming around six months before she made the announcement. Following a series of allegations on Tom, Katie has fired her trusted old security personnel, whom she thinks to be extremely intimate to Tom. She made this move before she filed for divorce.

All said and done, yet much remains to be witnessed. Katie has played her part; it’s time now for Tom to do his bit. What is worth finding out is whether Katie will be granted her wish or will she have a hard battle to fight.
