India’s Fake Babas and Spiritual Gurus and Their Assets

Nirmal Baba aka Nirmaljeet Singh Narula is not the first one in India who has been able to make millions doing nothing except fooling public. When I read about how Nirmal Baba makes more money than Salman Khan, I could not stop feeling pity of poor Indian public who have not matured enough to differentiate between original and fake. Nirmal Baba is neither first nor last in this list.

We have seen many examples of fake spiritual leader or gurus in India who have been involved in various illegal money-making and sex-rackets activities. Don’t confuse it with the one who get caught red-handed. There have been many who got escaped every time and never ever got caught or came under legal scanner. This, however, doesn’t make them innocent. One such example is (in)famous Sathya Sai Baba who always thought himself as no less than a real god or avatar and claimed to perform miracles.

It sounds no less than a joke that great Indian cricket player – Sachin Tendulkar was also one of his hard-core follower. Such a fool, Sachin was. We could see Sachin crying on his death. When person of such a high calibre and the one holding a big celebrity status could be so superstitious then what can we expect from the general Indian public who anyways have tons of day-to-day life problems to deal with. In an effort to find an easy solution to their problems, they fall prey to these fake gurus and Babas.
